Muhoroni MP James K'Oyoo has been cleared to contest for the seat on an ODM ticket.

K'Oyoo was on Saturday cleared by IEBC after the Court of Appeal earlier upheld his ODM nomination.

The the High Court overturned his nomination after it was contested by former MP Ayiecho Olweny on accusations of massive irregularities in the April primaries.

"We find and hold that the High Court misdirected herself by purporting to introduce new evidence to the case.

"The decision is hereby nullified and K'Oyoo declared the duly nominated ODM candidate for the Muhoroni MP seat," the ruling reads in part.

The ruling was delivered by Judges Eastus Githinji, William Ouko and Jamila Mohammed on Wednesday.
