Interviews to find suitable candidates to fill the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioner posts kicked off Thursday morning, with the IEBC selection panel interviewing two candidates.
First to appear before the nine-member selection panel chaired by Bishop Benedette Musundi and co-chaired by Prof Abdulgafur El-Busaid was 35-years-old Vincent Kimutai Kimosop.
He expressed confidence before the members, saying he had the knowledge, skills and capability of serving Kenyans as an IEBC commissioner.
He proposed that there was need for political party agents to be sensitised against engaging in political differences during election.
The panel which is conducting the interviews at County Hall in Nairobi, also interviewed Johnston Masai Changeywo.
A total of 36 candidates were last month shortlisted for the commissioner positions. Only six of them will be picked to succeed the outgoing commissioners.
The selection panel is continuing with the interviews.
