In a phone interview on Tuesday, Mong'are said majority of Kenyans have lost confidence with the commission and it will be proper if they vacate office.

"You cannot force yourself on people who have lost their confidence in you and for that reason IEBC commissioners must leave office," said Mong'are.

The Senator at the same time accused the Jubilee administration of tolerating corruption in the country and urged Kenyans to vote it out in the next general election.

"Jubilee is a corrupt government and we cannot allow ourselves to be led by a corrupt administration that is why Kenyans must send it packing in the next election," he added.
