Impeccable sources have revealed that the three, a State House official, a Cabinet Secretary and an influential politician were holed up in a night meeting on Saturday before commissioners Paul Kurgat, Connie Maina and Margret Mwachanya resigned on Monday.

A spymaster was in the works of the Saturday meeting.

Opposition MPs have been accusing the government of having a hand in the tribulations that have rocked the electoral body.

An MP who sought anonymity termed the developments as 'Jubilee's known game plan of use and dump.'

"They are no longer useful to Jubilee now. They were used in 2017's poll and must be dumped," she said.

Questions have also been raised after the government withdrew security of IEBC's chairman Wafula Chebukati and two other commissioner's who have not resigned.
