The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has confirmed the printing of ballot papers had started.
This is despite a case in court challenging the award of the Sh2.5 billion tender filed by the Opposition before a three-judge bench.
IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati revealed they decided to begin printing the 120 million ballot papers due to the limited time left before the polls.
"We have commenced the printing of ballot papers for most of the candidates, which do not have disputes," said Chebukati.Chief Justice David Maraga on Friday appointed High Court judges Joel Ngugi, George Odunga and John Mativo to hear and determine the case that has the potential to stop the August 8 General Election.
This came after Justice Odunga declined to grant NASA's request of stopping the tender awarded to Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing.
