IEBC has refuted claims by opposition Cord that it is working with the ruling Jubilee party to delay the 2017 general elections.
In a statement on Tuesday, IEBC communications manager Andrew Limo stated that IEBC is committed to the realisation of the Electoral Laws (Amendment) Act, 2015.
Limo argued that IEBC will implement the electoral laws that are meant to ensure fairness to all political parties in the country.
"The remarks by Cord are unfortunate considering that on November 14, 2016 the CEO had clarified issued in response to Cord's letter dated November 3," Limo's statement read.
He noted that IEBC is engaging every political party to ensure that 2017 polls are effective.
Limo's remarks come after opposition Cord claimed that the outgoing IEBC staff is meeting privately with DP Ruto to tamper with the next poll.
