The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has issued the politicians and political parties to remove their campaign banners, billboards, placards, and posters with seven days.

The commission said any individual or party found not to have complied with the directive will face stiff acation.

Posters of politicians have filled most spaces in different cities across the country.

Nairobi governor Mike Sonko's rescue team has been up and about removing posters of the county boss, while activist Boniface Mwangi has also been spotted plucking out his posters.

In Mombasa county, cement manufaturer Mombasa Cement has been leading the campaign of cleaning up the Coastal town by helping out in removing the posters.
