Through its official Twitter handle, the electoral agency revealed that it has granted access rights to presidential candidates and party agents to verify the results transmission system, in a bid to clear any doubts about the transparency and credibility of the October 26 repeat presidential election.“The commission has provided access rights to Presidential Candidates, Agents and Observers who made requests; to the results transmission server from the day of Elections 26/10/17 till results were declared,” read the tweet.Opposition NASA has accused IEBC of giving the wrong voter turn out figures during the repeat presidential polls.NASA claimed that KIEMS kits show that only 3.5 million turned out to vote, something that prompted IEBC Commissioner Abdi Guliye to deny strongly.

“In essence, transmission by the KIEMS kits will not be accurate in terms of absolute numbers. We are not going to rely on transmission from the kits but instead, we will be using the transmissions via Forms 34B,” explained Guliye.Eventually, IEBC said that the total votes cast in the fresh poll were 7,616,217.NASA leader Raila Odinga is expected to give his supporters the way forward following the declaration of Uhuru Kenyatta the president-elect.
