[Photo: file]The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), has allayed fears by the National Super Alliance, that the August 8 elections, will be rigged.Commissioner Roselyn Kwamboka dismissed the claims, saying IEBC has put in place, mechanisms to secure the votes, during tallying and the dissemination process.According to her, there is no way IEBC systems will be hacked, since they have hired cyber security experts, to protect all the systems, from being accessed by hackers, with intentions to rig."They will help to secure the Kenya Integrated Election Management System (KIEMS)," she said, Friday.Addressing the press Friday, Akombe further warned all IEBC staff, against engaging in electoral malpractice, saying the Commission will not defend anyone involved, adding that the law is clear on such cases.She further affirmed that the agency had already released a list of its Returning Officers of every County, to all the political parties, for assurance that no one on the list, is intended to help in rigging.“As IEBC commissioners, we took the oath of office to deliver a free, fair and credible election," said Kwamboka.
