The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is today (Monday) holding a prayer service for the newly appointed bosses.
This is to ensure the team starts work in a God-guided manner, few days after it was sworn into office by the Chief Justice David Maraga.
IEBC said it would conduct a prayer service which would be attended by the new chairman Wafula Wanyonyi Chebukati and his six commissioners, religious organisation leaders, and various stakeholders.
The outgoing Ahamed Issack Hassan's team welcomed Chebukati's team in office January 20, and was handed tools of service, in-readiness for the big task ahead of them.
Six new commissioners to the IEBC include: Ms Consolata Nkatha Bucha Maina, Boya Molu, Dr Roselyn Akombe, Ambassador Dr Paul Kurgat, Ms Margaret Wanjala Mwachanya and Prof Abdi Guliye.
