Thirdway Alliance leader and presidential candidate in the August 8 General Election, Ekuru Aukot, has launched a scathing attack on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and its chairman Wafula Chebukati for excluding him in the fresh presidential election.IEBC in a statement on Monday announced that the new presidential poll will be conducted on October 17, 2017. The electoral body however noted that only Jubilee's President Uhuru Kenyatta and the National Super Alliance (Nasa) flag bearer Raila Odinga will be on the ballot. The decision to only have Uhuru and Raila on the ballot has not gone well with Aukot who has vowed to challenge IEBC's decision in court.

"Decision by @IEBCKenya to lock other presidential candidates out of #FreshElections is invalid illegal, null & void We Are headed to Court," Aukot twitted, Monday.

"Now it is clear why @IEBCKenya has legal challenges from the chairman, CEO and the legal department. They simply can't read the law," he added.

The Thirdway Alliance leader had expressed interest in vying for State House race for a second time in the new elections.
