The Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission is investigating allegations of voter exportation in Nyeri County.

This is after residents of Kieni Constituency raised an alarm over the alleged exportation to Tigithi Ward in Laikipia County.

IEBC IEBC coordinator Muhia Mwangi confirmed the investigations to Citizen digital.

Tigithi Ward MCA aspirant Caesar Thinwa is accused of giving voters Sh500 in order for them to change their place of voting to Laikipia.

Thinwa has since denied the accusations saying he was not aware of such claims, further adding that they were meant to tarnish his name.
