Mwingi Central Mp Joe Mutambu has said IEBC is there to stay and accused anti-IEBC protesters who have been demonstrating in their bid  to kick out the commissioners from office.

Speaking during an Education Day at Mosisa secondary school in Nyaribari Masaba Kisii County, the lawmaker said  IEBC is there to stay.

“The current IEBC is not going anywhere and whoever thinks that they are going to kick them from the office they are wasting their time,” said Mutambu.

In addition, he said that the recent demonstrations are misleading Kenyans more so the youths.

Mutambu said that the anti-IEBC protesters don’t care about the future of this nation rather than being in streets demonstration.

“We need to think about the future of our children in our own nation, a demonstration is not the solutions to matters like disbanding IEBC, we need to follow the constitutions and build Kenya for our children,” he said.

He therefore challenged Cord to use the right channel in disbanding IEBC from officer.
