Persons whose names appear on the list of individuals with shared ID numbers have been given seven days to verify their details.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) said those who fail to do so, risk being expunged from the register of voters.
''Present yourself to the IEBC constituency office of the constituency you registered in and verify your details as soon as possible. You will be advised further once there,'' IEBC advised, Wednesday.
Out of the 128,926 shared ID numbers in the register, IEBC said a total of 50,174 had been confirmed as legitimate.
"The names of the remaining 78,752 have been published on our website, in newspapers and at IEBC regional offices.''
