The auditing of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission voter register has been scheduled to begin on Friday.
In an announcement made by the electoral body's CEO Ezra Chiloba on Thursday, IEBC said the successful bidder who will undertake the auditing process was to be unveiled on Friday.
At least 12 firms including three of the world’s largest auditing firms- KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Ernst & Young bid for the tender to scrutinise the voter's register.
The process should have begun on the 2nd of December to 31st of December but was delayed following a requirement in law to have the contract come to live 14 days after its signing.
“The audit had delayed because the successful bidder signs a contract after 14 days. It is a legal requirement and this comes into effect on December 16,” IEBC noted.
