IEBC has been lauded for considering to reschedule the repeat of election date to the October 26
NGOs council national chairman Stephen Cheboi on Friday said the new date will give the electoral body enough time to plan well for a credible, fair and free repeat of the presidential election.
"NASA and Jubilee presidential contestants should accord IEBC necessary support to deliver credible polls", said Cheboi.
He urged IEBC to ensure that all necessary preparations are put in place to ensure credible polls.
"As a country, we don't have the luxury of time as we head into another election. What we need as a nation is to speak in one voice," he said.
IEBC on Thursday pushed the presidential election from October 17 to 26 as it studies the Supreme Court's verdict and its implications.
The court on September 1 nullified president Uhuru Kenyatta's victory after NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga filed a petition.
