The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has congratulated Kenyans over their turn out to vote in the General Elections.
Speaking during a press brief on Tuesday from the national tallying center at the Bomas of Kenya, IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati said by 2 pm at least 40 percent of Kenyans had turned out to cast their vote.
However, at least 19 polling stations in Wajir and Turkana county are yet to begin the voting process due to poor weather.
19.6 million Kenyans are expected to participate in the August 8, polls.
