The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is meeting presidential candidates or their representatives ahead of their clearance for the August elections.
The meeting is a constitutional requirement and is listed in the IEBC schedule ahead of the elections. The leaders and commissioners are meeting at a Nairobi hotel.
Similar meetings are also underway across the country at constituency level.
The meeting comes a day after the deadline in which presidential candidates were required to submit a list of at least 2,000 supporters from at least 24 counties.
A schedule provided by IEBC shows that presidential nominations will be held from Sunday, followed by senate elections nominations, county assembly wards, women reps, National Assembly and gubernatorial nominations on June 1.
IEBC will be required to publish a list of all nominated candidates on June 10, 2017.
