Kibera MP, Ken Okoth has broken his silence concerning the ongoing protests to eject the IEBC commissioners from their offices by Cord.
On his Facebook status update on Monday, Okoth firmly stated that the time had come to clear up the mess that is visibly rampant at the country's electoral body. He told his supporters from the informal settlements of Kibera to join hands with the Cord coalition to eject the adamant commissioners who have since remained firm that the constitution is the only thing that can get them out of office.
Reacting to the statement issued by the interior CS, Joseph Nkaissery, Okoth noted that nothing would hinder them from pursuing their mission, not even teargas. Okoth stated that even if the police opt to use teargas, they shall courageously push forward with their mission.
In the past protests, there have been reports that a majority of the supporters who turned up at the Cord demonstrations were from Kibera.
