[Photo/@orengo_james]The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has differed with the National Super Alliance (Nasa) following their consultative meeting that was held on Tuesday at the Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi.Addressing journalists at the venue, Siaya senator James Orengo said their meeting had flopped after IEBC failed to agree on Nasa's irreducible minimums ahead of the October 26 fresh presidential poll."None of the issues we raised as irreducible minimums have been met or responded to so we left without agreeing," said Orengo. On the other hand, the electoral body through their social media page noted the meeting was progressive."The Commission has had progressive meetings with Nasa and Jubilee. We will publish what we have agreed upon," IEBC wrote on its official twitter handle, Tuesday.
In response to IEBC tweet, Orengo insisted that nothing had been agreed upon.
"Nothing has been agreed upon. We have not shut the path of dialogue. Uchaguzi bora. Si bora uchaguzi," the senior counsel twitted.IEBC had met Nasa leaders lead by Raila Odinga in order to create a common understanding on the 26th October poll. The commission also met Jubilee camp which was led by Deputy President William Ruto.
