[Photo/Nation]Gekara Mouni has dismissed reports that he was sacked as IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati's technical advisor for allegedly leaking confidential information without consent to members of the public.Through his lawyer Mose Nyambega, Gekara termed the reports as malicious and false noting he is still in office and discharging his duties diligently and punctiliously."Our client is still in office and continues in office on the date of this letter," the Star quotes Nyambega & Company advocates.Gekara further noted that at the time when the confidential memos leaked to the public, he was on leave."Our client was on leave at all times pertinent to the period under reference and was thus incapable of perusing or accessing the information alleged to have been leaked to warrant your said publication," the firm noted."It is instructive to note that our client who is retained to render services to the office of the chairman of the commission as a technical advisor has since joining rendered diligent services," Nyambega added.
