Documents presented to the Parliament's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) showed that the top lawyer, known as Grand Mullar, was among the top paid earning Sh40 million for the 14-day hearing of the case.

Ahmednasir was representing former chairman Issack Hassan who was a respondent as the returning officer for presidential poll.

The documents show that IEBC had sought the services of 14 law firms which went home with up to  Sh380 million.

Appearing before the committee, IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba said Ahmednasir was paid the amount as he is one of the best legal minds in Nairobi and was even demanding more.

Chiloba said 'Nairobi has a shortage of good lawyers'.
