The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), has issued a notice to all candidates, agents, political parties and party members who participated in the just concluded August 8th elections, to remove all the campaign materials across streets.
IEBC issued them with a seven-days notice, starting Tuesday August 22, asking them to remove all banners, billboards, placards and posters erected during the election period, failure to which the electoral body will impose sanctions stipulated under the Second Schedule (Electoral Code of Conduct) of the Elections Act, 2011.
At the same time, the Wafula Chebukati-led commission indicated that it would on Wednesday August 23, publish a Gazette notice on Members of National Assembly (MPs) and Members of County Assembly (MCAs) who were elected in all the 47 counties.
