The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has released dates for by-elections in four wards across the country.
According to a press release to media houses on Thursday the mini elections for Mosiro ward(Kajiado county) Sala (Tana River County) Nyacheki (Kisii County) and Kalokol ward (Turkana County) which all will all be held on October 26.
Aspirants wishing to contest as independent candidates have been given up to September 5 to submit their symbols to the commission while political parties have up to September 11 to present their candidates.The poll body further clarified that the campaign period would begin on September 26 and cease on October 24.The seats fell vacant following the deaths of the incumbents on various dates between April and August 2016.
