[Photo/Daily Nation]The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has responded to claims by NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga that, 42 top security officials are being prepared to act as returning officers in the August 8, polls in a bid to rig in President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On Friday, IEBC commissioner Roslyn Akombe confirmed that a list of their returning officers(RO) who are to oversee the elections has already been shared with the different political parties.
Akombe also challenged politicians and political parties to go through the list and identify if any of the RO is a security officer.
“We took the oath of office to deliver a free, fair and credible election on August 8 and we will do so on schedule,” she said.
