The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has affirmed that presidential ballot papers will arrive in the country a week to the elections day.

Commissioner Paul Kurgat has indicated that the Dubai-based Al-Ghurair Printing and Publishing LLC is currently printing the papers, after the Appellate Court ruled in favour of the Commission, in a case where the Opposition wanted the ballot papers' tender cancelled.A consignment of ballot papers for the governor, senator, and Woman Representative positions, arrived a week ago and are being stored in undisclosed warehouse, under high security.Kurgat has also called for peaceful elections, and assured Persons Living With Disabilities (PLWDs), that their access and facilitation to polling stations is a key consideration by the agency.He said several stakeholders are in talks with electoral body to provide facilitation to the disabled voters, on the voting day.At the same time, IEBC has reminded political parties to submit names and particulars of their respective agents for accreditation by the end of today, which is 14 days to the polls
