IEBC has dismissed information indicating that 800,000 voters cast ballots for presidential candidates alone.
Speaking to The Star, CEO Ezra Chiloba said inconsistencies resulted from delays in transmitting results from polling stations that alleged that only presidential candidates were voted for.
According to Chiloba, some areas, the transmission rate was so low and should not be confused with the final count.
Chiloba cited cases of Embu and Kirinyaga counties where he said Senator results posted on the IEBC portal account for only 4.4 per cent of all polling stations there.
