The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has responded to reports that some officials had been subjected to office arrest at Anniversary Towers.
The commission through its official Twitter account denied the allegations stating that no such incident occurred.
The reports had indicated that the officials had been restrained at the Anniversary Towers offices after leaking information to NASA.
IEBC officials were reportedly accused of having shared "raw data" from the October 26 presidential poll with National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga.
“There was no incident of such nature at our Anniversary Towers offices,” tweeted IEBC
The reports went viral across all social media platforms.
The reports were circulated ahead of Odinga press conference on the next move after the declaration of President Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner of the repeat presidential polls.
Uhuru was declared the winner on Monday after garnering 98% of votes cast.
The polls were marred by violence and boycott after NASA leader Raila Odinga announced that he would not take part in the process due to lack of reforms at IEBC.
