The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has responded to allegations that one of its officials secretly met President Uhuru Kenyatta's lawyer.
Through their official Twitter account, the polls body denied reports on social media that Commissioner Roselyne Akombe secretly met Evans Monari, a Jubilee lawyer.
"Akombe is not in a secret meeting. She has been engaged at a commission meeting at Anniversary Towers," said IEBC on Wednesday evening.
Monari was part of Uhuru's legal team for ICC trials, where the president was charged with crimes against humanity.
The IEBC is currently preparing for a fresh presidential election after the Supreme Court nullified the results on September 1.
The repeat election has been scheduled for October 26.
