The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has affirmed that the extra ballot papers printed be accounted for during and after the August 8 polls.

According to CEO, Ezra Chiloba, they have put in place appropriate measures to prevent stuffing of ballot papers.

The extra papers had caused controversy among the stakeholders with Thirdway Alliance presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot calling for the destruction of the papers.

“This week has been very difficult for the commission because of the murder of Musando. We will honor him by doing what is right for the country and that is delivering free and fair elections that reflect the true will of the people,” said Mr. Chiloba.
