The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission set to hold a meeting with all party Chairpersons and Secretary Generals to discuss on the ongoing party nominations.
Most nomination exercises have been maarred with cases of irregularities and chaos.
In a statement, chairman Wafula Chebukati said that the main agenda of the meeting would be enforcement of the electoral code of conduct and the party nominations.
“In the meantime, the commission urges all political parties involved in party primaries to do so in a peaceful, transparent and credible manner,” Chebukati said.
The Sunday planned meeting comes in the wake of the canceled Jubilee party primaries after the exercise was marred by chaos.
According to Jubilee under preparedness led to the cancelation.
A simillar situation has been witnessed with opposition party ODM.
