The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has announced that it will not appeal a Court of Appeal ruling on the declaration of presidential poll results at constituency level.

The Commission said on Saturday that it will ensure credibility in the August 8 polls.

"The Court of Appeal clarified on the declaration of results. We are not appealing the decision." IEBC posted on Twitter.

The Court of Appeal on Friday affirmed that presidential results announced in constituencies are final.

On the announcement of presidential results, the Appellate Court held that the IEBC's returning officers posted in the 290 constituencies must electronically transmit presidential results to the national tallying centre in Nairobi.

But they cannot be altered in Nairobi.
