[Photo: @citizentvkenya]High Court Judge George Odunga will continue hearing a case in which Machakos Wiper gubernatorial candidate Wavinya Ndeti, had been disqualified. This is after he declined to step down, from listening to the case, after the IEBC political parties dispute tribunal filed a case in court, asking the judge to disqualify himself from the case.According to justice Odunga, the tribunal's argument was baseless and lack legal merit. He said he would continue with the sittings of the case, which saw Wavinya, who is a former Sports Assistant minister, temporarily allowed to vie, pending the final Court ruling. The former Kathiani MP was disqualified by the IEBC political parties dispute tribunal on grounds that she belonged to two political parties- Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) and Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper, upon nomination. She however dismissed the claims, saying she had resigned from CCU, accusing her political rivals on her woes.
