Dubai based Al Ghurair printing company could still print the presidential ballot papers despite an earlier court ruling that cancelled an earlier tender awarded to them.

According to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries commission CEO Ezra Chiloba,Al Ghurair is one of the is several oprltions the commission is considering as it stategizes on how to have the papers printed.

"We have several contarctors we are considering for the exercises considering the time left and Al Ghirair is one of them.If during public participation the majority vouch for Al Ghurair then we will give them the tender," he told Radio Jambo.

He added that the courts did not bar the Dubai based company from bidding for tenders in the country because the appeal filed by the opposition calling for the same was dismissed.

Chiloba addedd that due to the little time left before the elections are held they would not go for open bidding and would consider direct tenders to save on time.
