Voting will take place on August 8. catercentre.orgThe Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has said it is prepared to conduct the August 8 general election.
The electoral body has released details of how voters will be required to conduct the exercise in which Kenyans will vote for president, governors, senators, MPs, woman representatives and MCAs.
Procedure:
1. Visit your polling station with your original identity card or valid Kenyan passport (the document you used for registering a voter).
2. Present the ID/ passport to the polling clerk for him/ her to verify your details electronically using the KIEMS kit.
3. You will be issued with six stamped ballot papers.
4. Mark the ballot papers correctly and in secret.
5. Cast your marked ballot paper in the labeled ballot boxes.
6. Your finger will be marked with indelible ink.
7. Leave the polling station after voting.
