Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi has criticised Tuesday's poll results by Infotrak suggesting Deputy President William Ruto's office was among the most corrupt in the country.

He argued if the DP was corrupt, then President Uhuru Kenyatta was equally corrupt.

He said the two leaders were inseparable.

"These two people were elected together," Mudavadi said on Tuesday evening in an interview with KTN television.

The interviewer has sort to know if he agreed that the DP's office was among the most corrupt as indicated by the poll findings.

"So when a poll is done and one is separated from the other I fail to understand."

According to the poll results, the DP's office was ranked third in promoting corruption with 51 percent.

It ranked behind the Kenya Police rated at 89 percent and county governments (78 percent).

The office of President Uhuru Kenyatta closely followed the DP's at 46.4 percent.

"If one (either Uhuru or Ruto) is corrupt, then even the other is also corrupt," Mudavadi added.

The poll findings released by Infotrack Chief Executive Anjela Ambitho painted a gloomy picture of how graft had derailed development in the country

In 2014, Uhuru admitted to high-level corruption in his government, primarily in procurement departments.

He promised to crack the whip saying the law would deal with individuals found guilty of orchestrating graft.

Mudavadi said the president needed to get bold and tame the vise that has dragged completion of key projects including the laptop one whose implementation has delayed for over three years.
