Elders from different communities across the country have been challenged to come together and help solve the current political impasse the nation is facing.
Uasin Gishu Myoot Council of Elders coordinator Major (rtd) John Seii further says religious leaders should also play their role in helping bring a solution to the matter.
Speaking in Eldoret, Saturday, Seii warned that the country was heading in the wrong direction and urged that elders and the clergy be allowed to come up with a long lasting solution.
"I want to state here that elders in this country have the medicine for political challenges we are facing. We have given our young people to lead this country but there are some things that need the elders experience to solve," Seii said.
"This country if we are not careful might hit the wall in one way or the other and this is the reason clergy and elders need to come together and help bring a solution because this is our country and we've no other place to go to," he added.
The country is staring at a political crisis after the opposition remained adamant that there will be no election in October 26 with the ruling the ruling Jubilee Party insisting that elections will go on as directed by the Supreme court.
