Outgoing Nairobi Deputy governor Polycarp Igathe has revealed hi new role in the county moments after resigning.
Early this month, Igathe notified Governor Mike Sonko that he will be stepping down today.
Through his twitter account on Wednesday, Igathe stated that he will still serve the county but as an advisor.
Igathe further thanked Nairobi residents expressing his gratitute for serving them over the last five months.
"It has been a great pleasure serving Nairobians & I will continue to serve as an advisor, beyond my previous position of Nairobi County Deputy Governor," tweeted Igathe.
Igathe resigned claiming that he had failed to earn the trust of governor Sonko.
On his part, Sonko said that he was not bothered by Igathe's resignation.
