Polycarp Igathe was misled by a section greedy and selfish Jubilee leaders into resigning.

This is according to Nairobi governor and his former immediate boss Mike Sonko.

Speaking at a radio interview on Tuesday, Sonko said Igathe made the decision in haste and that he was now living in regrets for following the misleading advice.

“Two or three advisors misled him and I am sure he is regretting the decision but I am happy that we are still talking," he said.

The governor said that there was an unnamed cartel working against him to create the impression that he cannot deliver as governor of Nairobi.

“There are teams put in place to create a perception that I cannot deliver. They operate through fake accounts on social media to bring me down,” he added.

He was speaking during an early morning show on Kameme FM.
