Youth in Mvita Constituency have been asked to ignore NASA’s calls for demonstrations.Mvita youth leader Omar Mahmoud Shallo claimed that the opposition plans to use youth to destroy the country’s unity, adding that youth should focus on developing their lives.Addressing a youth forum in Majengo on Sunday, Shallo said the majority of youth in the area have lost focus, which is why they end up being misused by politicians. He said youth in Majengo have failed to stand on their own and focus on rebuilding their lives and instead wait for politicians to lead them in the wrong direction.“I have a dream for you that is why I am always here to discuss various issues that will definitely change your lives,” said Shallo.Youth who attended the meeting admitted that they were facing various challenges among them drug abuse, engaging in crime, among other social evils.“We are ready to change but we need support from our politicians that is why when we are told to demonstrate, we do it since we are hungry for the little cash,” said Omar Khamis, a youth from Majengo Sega said.Shallo encouraged the youth who did not get a chance to pursue higher education to equip themselves with tertiary skills, to enable them earn an honest living.“I lost in the August 8 Mvita parliamentary race but solving challenges facing the youth is still something I hold very dear,” said Shallo.Shallo, however, said he still intends to vie for the seat in the 2022 general election.
