Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to ignore opposition leaders criticising his government’s development agenda.
Addressing journalists at Kiambu town on Wednesday, Wamatangi said that those criticising the Jubilee government are envious of the development agenda the government has actualize in the last three years.
The senator said that Jubilee government was on track and that it will fulfil all the pledges it made to Kenyans in 2013.
“Some people are envious of the development Jubilee government has made so far and want to tarnish the government,” said the senator.
The Kiambu senator urged leaders in the opposition to be objective and work with the government instead of criticizing it.
“It is time leaders allied to opposition provided for alternative solutions to the challenges facing the country instead of blaming the government for failing,” said the Kiambu senate lawmaker.
Wamatangi asked Kenyans to trust the Jubilee government saying that it’s committed to address the challenges facing them.
On Saturday during the opposition state of nation address at Laico Regency hotel in Nairobi, Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) co-principal Raila Odinga lashed out at the Jubilee government accusing it of failing to fulfil its pledges to Kenyans.
The former Prime Minister said that the country was heading to the wrong direction.
Odinga further dismissed the State of the nation that was made by Uhuru Kenyatta two weeks ago stating that it failed to address key problems facing Kenyans.
