Nyando MP Fred Outa has announced that plans are afoot to ensure proper presentation of Kisumu County people in the county government in 2017.
Outa who is backing the current Senator Prof Anyang Nyong’o for 2017 gubernatorial seat said the plan is to bring on board people’s representations in the county government.
He said voters should not be used as voting machines during the elections then got neglected.
The MP said locals in the county should start shopping for suitable candidates capable of running the county in different sectors.
“I want to tell Kisumu County people that don’t be used by politicians to vote and they fail to accomplish some of the pledges they make,” he said.
Outa said that in their line up with Nyong’o, they have decided to ask locals to identify and propose qualified people whom they think can run the county in various ministries
Speaking on Friday to sugarcane farmers at Kopere area in Muhoroni constituency, Outa who has an ambition for Kisumu Senate position in 2017 said a vote should bring change and development in a community.
He said that there will be numerous positions in the county that needs to be filled by the people of Kisumu County.
Outa said devolution was meant to decentralize power and resources to the people.
“We want to see it to that voters don’t feel neglected after elections. We want to walk with them during the coming campaigns so that they give us those they feel are potential for employment,” he said.
