Speaking on Monday at Gusii Cultural hall during a one day leadership seminar, youths selected from all nine sub counties asked Ongwae to shun his critics and work with like-minded people to boost development in the region.

“The county leaders should respect their respective offices and desist from giving the governor hard time. We ask him to take only constructive criticism and dismiss those who want political mileage for opposing him persistently,” said Walter Ombeki.

“Somebody should help Kenyans implement the constitution instead of fueling leadership crisis. He knows very well that when a public officer wants a political seat, he or she has to relinquish a state job,” said Agnes Moraa referring to CIC chairman Charles Nyachae.

They warned of a possible storm in the region that could target Members of Parliament most of whom are accused of derailing development in the county besides embezzling public funds.

“Let me worn those MPs who are concentrating on opposing the governor and failing to deliver on their mandate. We will teach them a political lesson if they continue with their early campaigns instead of performing for their constituents,” said Victor Oyagi.
