The artists of the controversial 'Ikamba' song could be acting on orders from certain political forces, says Mau Mau Veterans Association chairman Johnson Kieti.
The association's Mwala Sub County branch chairman said police should conduct thorough investigations to determine the mastermind of the song meant to brew repugnance and demean the Kamba community.
"The Kamba and Kikuyu communities have been co-existing peacefully since independence, it is uncouth for an apathetic duo to cause abhorrence among the peace loving communities by composing a demeaning song," Kieti said.
He spoke to Hivisasa on the phone on Tuesday.
“I know for sure these are not the views of the whole community but few individuals who aim at creating hatred among Kambas and Kikuyus, that's why investigations should be conducted to reveal the real culprits," added he.
Kieti said the artists could have been paid to compose the song by someone who wants to see the two tribes clash.
He said the song can cost the two communities their long existing tranquility if no immediate action is taken.
