Activist Boniface Mwangi has said he will give finner details on how he spent the over Sh10 million he received for his Starehe MP campaigns.

Speaking on Sunday days after conceding defeat to Jubilee's Charles Njagua, the Ukweli Party man said in a statement that he will sanction an audit of the cash in his efforts to change the Kenyan style of politics.

"All the money that was donated, from as little as Sh10, towards making our campaign a great success will be accounted for," he said.

Mwangi attached a small summary of how the campaign team used the Sh10,658,470 received from well-wishers and supporters.

He said that marketing materials took up some 37 per cent of the money, with 25 per cent going to billboards and exhibitions as 17% went to payment of field staff including agents.

"A more detailed expenditure report will be shared after an audit," he said.

"We have challenged the old ways and we have triumphed over them. We may not have won, but our impact will be felt for many elections to come."

"We are the movement that will take back our country and give it to the people," Mwangi added.
