Nyamira Speaker Joash Nyamoko has insisted that if elected, he will only lead North Mugirango as MP for a term unless his constituents decide otherwise.
Mr Nyamoko will be seeking to oust ODM’s Charles Geni after losing narrowly to him in the hotly contested 2013 elections.
In an exclusive interview with this writer on Thursday, Nyamoko said he was ready to show ‘good leadership’ in the constituency and slammed the incumbent of being void of good management.
“I am in for the North Mugirango seat and nothing will stop me from going for it. If elected, I will only serve for a term unless my constituents demands otherwise,” he said.
“My constituency lacks good leadership and that is what I want to bring. The current MP has shown his incompetence with poor management skills depicted in some of the things he does for my people. I just want to set precedence for future generations,” he added.
He urged his competitors to conduct peaceful campaigns and was upbeat he will win the 2017 polls with ease.
“I have no doubt that I will be in parliament come 2017 but all we need is peaceful campaigns without necessarily inciting residents against each other,” he said.
Nyamoko also defended his recent move to Jubilee saying every Kenyan had a right to make political party choices.
