Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the governor said that he will work with other leaders in the region to ensure all the unfinished projects are complete before he embarks on any other task. The lawmaker said that he will work as per the manifesto he launched when he was seeking re-election.
“We will be guided by our 2017 campaign manifesto when commencing new projects,” Roba said, as quoted by Star.
The Governor also said that he has started construction of county offices, roads and health offices among other infrastructural projects in the county as he seeks to grow its economy in the next five years of his governance.
“We had started the construction of county offices, modern health facilities, roads, the governor’s residence, county assembly, a modern airport, among others that we want to accomplish as we partner with the national government and other development partners.”
There are various stalled projects in the county including a maternal ward at the Mandera County Referral Hospital. The governor defied negotiated democracy to retain his post.
