Garissa Governor Nathif Jama has said that he will concede defeat if he loses the seat.
Speaking to jounalists after casting his vote in Garissa on Tuesday, Jama said that he will accept the results if he loses faily.
''I am ready to concede in case I lose and I am also asking my competitiors to do the same, '' Governor Jama said as quoted by the Star.
Governor Jama smurged locals to be calm as they wait on IEBC to tally and announce results.
He said that life has to gone after the election, adding that his agenda will be to initiate more projects if he wins re-election.
Governor Jama is facing stiff competition in his re-election bid from former Permanent Secretary (PS) Ali Bunow Korane vying on Jubilee ticket.
Addressing the press after voting on Tuesday, Korane exuded confidence of sending Jama home.
The Jubilee governor hopeful called for calm and tolerance among residents.
Garissa senator Yusuf Haji's younger brother Bashir Haji is also in the governor race contesting on Amani National Congress (ANC) Party.
