Bomet Governor and NASA co-principal Isaac Ruto has vowed to bring to the coalition over one million votes in the August elections to give Raila Odinga victory.

Speaking at Radio Mayienga Friday morning, Ruto said the campaign to dethrone President Uhuru Kenyatta was unstoppable and that he was already assured of bringing on board between one and 1.5 million Rift Valley voters.

Ruto said memners of the Kalenjin community were yearning for change and said that Raila will this time get massive support unlike in 2013 where th support was inconsequantial.

He challenged Luo leaders to change their method of conflict resolution and asked them to avoid political violence if they wanted Raila to win the Presidency.

“Come out and vote for NASA in August. Wacheni kelele mingi (stop the noise and confusion),” he said.

He added that the killing of Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo’s bodyguard as well as torching her house shocked many.

“We must stop this cycle of violence and the belief that every difference must be sorted with violence,” he said in the 10-minute interview.

Ruto further threw his support for NASA's decision to pick Raila as the opposition flag bearer, saying that the former Prime Minister was best suited to lead the country based on his long struggle for democracy in Kenya.

“We must appreciate the Odinga family. They have sacrificed their lives to bring democracy and fairness to this country. It started with Raila’s father, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga. We must celebrate this family,” said Ruto.
