Oloo, who decamped the ruling party for ODM Wednesday morning has blamed what he calls a disorganized merger of the coalition as one of the main reasons for decamping the party.

However, many will see his move as similar to those made by other politicians who have defected to support parties that are dominant in their areas of origin.

Oloo, who has been TNA’s spokesman, a party that was used by the president Kenyatta in 2013, says he has been uneasy since the party was dissolved and merged to form Jubilee Coalition.

According to Oloo, the parties forming the merger have lost their identities, and the unifying factor has since disappeared.

“You cannot see the face of Ford People, no face of TNA in that outfit, neither can you see KANU, GNU, people like Kalembe are crying because their parties have been sealed,” said Oloo.

He further said that he does not agree to how the party is being run, and the role that has been given to Raphael Tuju as the political secretariat.

“An amorphous state body has been created to run the party known as the presidential secretariat, led by a man who belonged to a party that was not even part of the merger process, my understanding was that the man belonged to the party known as POA,” he went on.

He further claimed that he brought officials from eight counties with him, and many more will come once he has tested the water for them.

“We are coming home, we are not coming home to the Luo people, we are coming home to the Kalenjin, the Kikuyu, the Kambas, a home for the 42 communities of this republic,” said Oloo.

Oloo has been one of the local supporters of the current regime, and has insisted he will taking a new role now that he is in the other camp.
